((((((MADOA Half of The DROP Clique)))))

Madoa and Botti are the duo that form the group known as The Drop Squad. Inspired by the Spike Lee movie of the same name, The Drop Squad’s main goal is to paint a more positive picture of black culture than the one normally portrayed in mainstream hip-hop. Natives of Newport News, VA and Baltimore, MD, Madoa and Botti met during their time at Fort Bragg where they established an enduring friendship centered around their love for music.

After compiling a pretty impressive catalogue of music and each one having achieved the first tier of their goals, Botti completed several contracts overseas and Madoa graduated with his bachelors in ‘09, the two decided to drop their first official mixtape, “The Drop.” Featuring production from Odissee, Apollo Brown, Ayatollah, Best Kept Secret, Cache and many more it was definitely worth the wait. The success of their mixtape together with opening up for Mya and The Clipse, having their lead single "Miss HBCU" played in Virginia and North Carolina, being featured on many of the top
hip-hop blog sites, performing at numerous shows along the east coast and receiving positive reviews at several hip-hop summits featuring industry insiders, The Drop Squad is definitely on the come up.

Madoa is currently, working on his debut solo project The Drop Squad Presents: 'WITT'
The first single is 'CITY LIGHTS' Raleigh Tribute!!
